“When it comes to love,
you need not fall but rather surrender,
surrender to the idea that you must love yourself
before you can love another.
You must absolutely trust yourself
before you can absolutely trust another
and most importantly you must accept your flaws
before you can accept the flaws of another.“

Snow and stuff.
So where have I been?
This past weekend I went to Tahoe for a day just to play in the snow. I love my new board, it is so amazing. My dad actually went skiing with me, which was pretty cool considering he hasn't skied in 10 years. My brother had a project so he didn't come with us, just my parents and I. My mom, who doesn't ski or snowboard, just sat in the restaurant all day, which I can imagine is boring. But it was my best day ever. Usually when I snowboard I go with my cousins and my brother and I feel obligated to wait for them so it usually takes a while to get down the mountain. I don't get to go at the speed I want. But this time, I was free to go on my own because my dad can handle his own. I did eat it a few times but I just flew down. It was so amazing because the weather was so nice and sunny.
Me and Lake Tahoe in the background.
So I've also been altering and sewing some clothes.
This shirt was once a weird looking dress.
I cut the skirt and made it a top.
These shorts were once Volcom cropped pants.
I was about to donate them when my mom said I should just make them shorts. They are a little long but if I pull them up a bit, they get this bubble effect. I think I'll keep them.
This shirt was once an even bigger shirt.
I like the baggy-ness of it, so I just made it a bit smaller in the sides. Nothing too drastic yet. I like the simplicity of it.
These three pants I just altered.
The corduroys were these super obnoxious flares that Hollister used to sell back in the day. I wore them like once. So I decided to be like J. Crew last fall and make them skinny. They look really good now and I will definitely wear them (even if they are Hollister). The other two I just hemmed the legs using this new technique I found off of Burda.
Here is a close up of it. I keep the original hem and everything. No cutting required. I know Nordstrom charges $22 to keep the original hem. Yikes. I'm all about saving money (now more than ever).
I usually always do my own pedicures, but I got a French tip once and I learned to do them myself now. I'm pretty good now. Haha.
Pardon the ugliness of this post. I don't know what is going on.

Le Travail
So I had an interview today for a Legal Assistant position. It went well, they want another interview. I'm excited. I'm ready to work. I want experience.
I've been doing a lot of paperwork lately, mostly for this Fellowship Program and now I'm trying to get another scholarship for law school. We'll see how it goes. I like doing paperwork. I feel like I'm in school again. Wow, that is sad. I miss school and writing essays already! =(
I want to work, so I can get myself nice things! Haha. I don't know what to get though. I thought I wanted a Louis Vuitton, but I think I change my mind. There are so many fakes out there, it takes the fun out of it. Hmm.

Maintenant, ma vie
I haven't had a proper update in a while.
LSATs are done. It went a lot better than the last time. I felt like I knew how to conquer most problems. I hope my score reflects the confidence I had when I left the test.
Now it's on to looking for a job. I heard about a Fellowship Program with the Judicial Council of California and I'm going to apply for that. It doesn't start until September. This afternoon I got a call about a Legal Assistant position. Too bad I missed her call. I'll call back tomorrow morning. That sounds good doesn't it?
So I'm in the process or transforming my bedroom into a walk in closet...with a bed. Haha, my wardrobe is all over the place, bulging out of drawers and dresses hanging from my loft bed. It's uncontrollable. But the thing i,s I haven't been buying clothes. I just shop through my mom's old suitcases full of vintage finds. It's pretty awesome. I have just been altering her clothes, which is always calming for me.
My life is very consistent right now, which is so great compared to the rollercoaster ride I had a couple months ago.
I have decided to take more pictures of my life. So in case I get Alzheimer's I won't forget. =)

So I spent Valentine's with my family for my Grandpa's Birthday. We went to Koi Palace in San Francisco. My Aunt from Texas was here so we spent time with her and took her to Milpitas and went to Sweethearts and had Milk Tea and Gai Dan Tzai or egg waffles ( I think that's what they called it). It's not Hong Kong quality but better than nothing.

Dude, the LSAT is in two days and I seem to have too much time on my hands. But that made me laugh, out loud.

The District
Yes, it's true. I have a slight addiction to The Hills and The City, but this is even better.

The Hundreds

So The Hundreds spring collection is rolling on out.
If I was a man or they had smaller sizes, I would swoop most of it up.
I love it, clean lines and simplicity. I wish the Tens line was more like the men's line. The Tens shirts are ok, not as clever and witty as the Hundreds shirts. The only thing close is maybe Madam Bomb, but other than that, it's pretty questionable.
I wish they had denim for women. I would defs rock it.

Really?
Better Not Together
If you haven't heard the new Justin Timberlake song Better Not Together you should. It's amazing.
I had a chat with G. last night. It was a really good conversation, not because we talked but what I said. I guess saying how I feel out loud about myself really cemented the fact that I am growing and it shows. In order for me to grow I had to spread my wings. I'm really proud of myself. I am learning so much about myself and I'm becoming comfortable in my own skin, completely independent.
I found a good quote from Sex & the City.

“But the most exciting, challenging and significant relationship of all is the one you have with yourself. And if you can find someone to love the you you love, well, that's just fabulous.”
I'm finally falling in love.
I'm finally falling in love.
