So I'm defs not a Trekkie, and I've never actually watched the show, except the one episode with the Tribbles. But this movie was awesome.
It had the right amount of action, romance, comedy. It was well made and it made me want to understand the rest of the Star Trek universe, which probably won't happen, but you never know.
You don't have to be a Trekkie to enjoy this movie. Plus it doesn't hurt that the cast is all so attractive. Who knew that pointy ears could be so enticing. Haha.
