For the Makers

So if you follow me on Instagram (@meltung) you know that I post a lot of pictures with the hastage #forthemakers. Well, For the Makers is a DIY subscription service that was created by two former Kate Spade and Anthropologie designers, so you know it's good stuff.

I love it because it's high quality pieces and I don't have to search for them. They are all ready to go in the box and I just have to put it together. It's the one luxury that I'm not willing to let go. Each box comes with all the material needed to make four awesome pieces. I no longer go to Forever 21 or H&M to buy trendy pieces, I just make them myself!

For the Makers helped me get my keychain situation under control.

I love getting these little boxes every month.  Get your own here. For only $29 a month, you are getting amazing pieces for less than $10 each! You can cancel anytime, but why would you?

Claude

I made this little guy for TD a while ago. Almost a year ago or something but I never took a picture. He's a French Cheese because I love cheese (which he hates) and I love all things French. He has a mustache and a blue beret. Parce qu'il est francais, bien sur!

Recycling Paper

Photobucket

I love jars, but I hate how they look like the came from my pantry (uhh because they did). And, I also love collecting paper, especially security envelopes. Presto chango...

Photobucket

Ta da! Just add some Modge Podge and you are done.

So much cuter right?

As this is my last week before I start going down the journey known as law school, my posts are going to be to a minimal and from here on out, they may become more sporadic. I hope I don't loose any of you readers. I'll do my best to keep what I love on here. Thanks for reading and I hope you don't leave!

Renegade!

Photobucket

I went to Renegade with my friend Steph. This one was so much bigger than the Holiday one. It was pretty awesome. Did not buy as much as I did and there were some repeats but I love these craft fairs. Get me all inspired. Here's some of my favs.

Patty imports all her stuff from Japan or makes it herself. Awesome. Learn more about Patty at tinted mint. I picked up some dark blue washi tape.

The Prick Cushion is one of the best pin cushions ever! I thought this was hilarious. If you can't figure out what those are. Scroll down a little.

NSFW! Haha, umm this is the uncut version.

Photobucket

Don't worry ladies. They got you covered.

These are made by Clair over at heyday design. She creates the mold for these ceramic jars over in Canada.

Baked Goods!

Photobucket

So lately I've been making these little things here and there. Earlier this year I made TD a little French Cheese (I forgot to take a picture but he's the cutest thing. I'll try to get a picture.).

I figured he would need a friend, so I sent him over this toast and cupcake a few weeks ago. The cupcake is for LD, his little sister.

Photobucket

She's cute and chatty.

He's got personality (and move-able eyebrows). I think TD named him Butters Scotch. But I would have to check with him on that.

DIY Christmas Gifts

Photobucket

So I decided early on that I would make most of my Christmas presents, mostly because no one wanted anything and we're all kinda short on money (thanks economy!).

So I made these little baggies, thanks for Amy over at Eat Drink Chic.

Then I made these two sets of pins.

I made these for my Mom. They are freshwater pears with glass beads on a 14K earring thingamajig.

Photobucket

These are glass beads too.

Photobucket

For my dad I made him dark chocolate bark with walnuts and golden raisins. Pretty tasty if you ask me.
